Harrisonburg, Va

Early-mid 20th century downtown and corridor buildings can also benefit from facade improvements. After sitting vacant and at risk of demolition, this 1940s commercial building in Harrisonburg’s Downtown Historic District was given a new lease on life.  Frazier Associates provided facade improvement recommendations through the Virginia Main Street program.   The exterior with its art moderne style curved canopy was repaired, and the large glass windows the adjoining brick section were repaired and reopened. Frazier Associates also provided architectural plans and tax credit application assistance for the full project . The interior was renovated for new office and restaurant space with an open, industrial, contemporary feel.
