Blackstone, Va
Located in southside Virginia, the small town of Blackstone has a big vision for revitalization of its downtown. Working through the Virginia Main Street program, Frazier Associates has provided a number of services related to downtown design. A new design for a town square was created for a prominent vacant lot on Main Street. The once abandoned space is now an attractive green space and is often filled with people engaged in community activities. Frazier Associates also assisted with the town’s wayfinding system. After a branding update by Arnett Muldrow, new gateway signs were designed by Frazier Associates to fit in existing gateway frames, and new trailblazers were designed for key points of interest throughout town. Frazier Associates is also providing facade design assistance for property owners, and recently assisted with a training session for the town’s architectural review board.
