Summit View Business Park is the union of two former farm sites with rolling hills and incredible 360-degree mountain views in Franklin County, Virginia. The north business park campus contains an original farmhouse and silos at its entrance on U.S. 220. It will include a tourist welcome center along with visitor-oriented businesses. The adjacent south park campus has several business sites and features a recreational park with a pavilion, ball fields, walking trail, restroom facilities, and a splash pad. Together the north and south business park campuses and their amenities create a progressive, modern approach to the business park model that invites and engages the local community as well as businesses’ employees.
Frazier Associates designed a wayfinding master plan to guide visitors and business traffic to the variety of facilities within the 550-acre park. The plan creates multiple sign types to address the needs of the various destinations and promotes the use of public facilities, recreational amenities, and visitororiented businesses. The design incorporates Summit View’s brand and color scheme. The selection of both rustic and contemporary materials in nature combines to create a sign system that makes a modern statement with a nod to the site’s past and respect for its beautiful natural setting.
