Frazier Associates is a full-service architecture and planning firm located in Staunton, Virginia, assisting communities and individuals across the Commonwealth and the country. As historic architects, we specialize in architectural design including adaptive reuse of historic homes and buildings, new construction and urban infill, downtown revitalization, historic preservation, and residential architecture. Our experience in community planning complements this work. Whether it is a set of design guidelines, a home improvement guide, a corridor enhancement plan, a Main Street facade program, or a community wayfinding system, Frazier Associates provides a contextual approach to architecture and planning projects that responds to community character and enhances the final product.

Our Experience
We are honored to have a large repeat client base in both the public and private sectors, which serves as a testament to the quality of our design work and the level of our architecture services. Since its inception in 1986, Frazier Associates has designed more than 3,000 projects located throughout the mid-Atlantic area and has been recognized with more than 90 awards in architecture, planning, and historic preservation.
Our Team
Over the years, Frazier Associates has recruited an experienced team of architects, planners, historians, interior designers, and graphic designers who share the founding principals’ commitment to help knit communities together through architectural design. In addition, the firm often works with a variety of engineers, landscape architects, and other specialized consultants as needed in order to best tailor teams for specific projects.
Our Affiliations
Staff members are professionally registered with the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and the Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD); and we are certified by the National Park Service to work on historic projects. Additionally, our architects have earned LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation as administered by the U.S. Green Building Council. The firm is organized as a corporation and is a certified Small Woman and Minority (SWaM) owned business.
