Fairfax County, Va

Located in a suburban area of Fairfax County, Centreville Historic Park contains five land parcels encompassing over 14 acres. The park covers nearly 300 years of County history spanning early 19th century town development, significant Civil War remains, post war recovery, and early 20th century suburban growth. Sites vary from tanneries and graveyards, to a 1939 Sears House, with Civil War fortifications found in all areas.

Frazier Associates worked with the Fairfax County Park Authority to develop a tiered sign and wayfinding system that would provide connectivity among the parcels of the park and create a unified sense of place throughout the historic district. Sign types designed included gateways, trailblazers, information kiosks, pedestrian signs, historical markers, interpretive signs, and parking signs.
