This new construction project was designed with contextual detail in mind. The original 1892 farmhouse was built on a blue stone foundation and it was important to the owners that the architecture of the new garage complement their existing home.
Working with ABL landscape architects, Frazier Associates provided several design options utilizing SketchUp software. Key elements in the selection of construction materials included the use of natural stonewall grey limestone from Frazier Quarry and fiber cement siding, a product made with renewable resources. The use of both a natural stone product and an environmentally sustainable product highlights how projects can meet both aesthetic and renewable resource goals for clients.
