Blacksburg, Va
Frazier Associates was commissioned by Virginia Tech to complete an Intensive Level Survey to document these two historic buildings for the Virginia Department of Historic Resources prior to their scheduled demolition. Rasche Hall was built in 1894, with Brodie Hall following in 1900 on the historic Upper Quad of the university. Both buildings have additions and were completely rebuilt in the 1950s.
Frazier Associates provided detailed architectural, site, and historical descriptions, as well as plans and existing and historic photographs of the buildings in the survey. In addition, the report related the historic context and significance of the buildings to several key criteria including architecture, education, and individuals associated with the buildings.
