The formal recognition of a Virginia historic property is to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register. The Virginia Department of Historic Resources (VDHR) administers both of these designations.

Our research and architectural historians work with property owners and VDHR to complete all the necessary requirements and forms to have qualifying properties listed. If an owner is interested in applying for historic tax credits for the rehabilitation of a property, the register listing is the first step in the process.
